What is a statutory equipment inspection?
A statutory inspection (sakkyndig kontroll) is a mandatory inspection of work equipment under forskrift om utførelse av arbeid (Regulations concerning the performance of work). The inspection ensures that the equipment is safe to use and, as a general rule, must be carried out at least every 12 months by a certified inspection body.
