The aim of the course is to provide basic training for slingers, riggers and signallers. The course gives you the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to carry out lifting operations safely.
Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for personnel who will use lifting gear at work, for example on building sites, in industry, in warehouses and in transport. It is also suitable if you are going to take a crane operator course, as G11 is part of the training programme for crane operators.
Requirements and regulations
Lifting gear is work equipment that requires documented safety training before use (forskrift om utførelse av arbeid (Regulations concerning the performance of work) § 10-1 and § 10-2). The training must be both theoretical and practical, and the employer is responsible for ensuring that it has been given and documented.
How the course works
The course is held as a classroom course at Sem in Tønsberg and in Skien. The course ends with a written exam. On passing the exam, each participant receives documentation, either as certified G11 training or as documented training for slinging and slinger/signaller.
If you are taking the lorry loader crane course G8 or the overhead crane course G4 with us, G11 is included in the theory course.
